Job Description

Qualifications Requirements:


  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three years of satisfactory, full-time progressively responsible clerical/adminstrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or and associates degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university and four years of satisfactory, full-time progessively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described above; or a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of satisfactory, full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described above.

Experience Requirements:


  • Five years of experience providing administrative support preferably for safety-critical software-intensive projects. Must be experienced and possess expertise in record and document preparation using MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Ability to clearly write, verbally communicate and organize project information and reports. Proficiency in SQL and Access query development, report generation, and data entry

Special Skills/Training Requirements:
Knowledge of Internet Based Project Management software (Constructware) and sharePoint is highly desirable.

  1. Description of Work:


Consultant shall maintain the ACCESS/SQL Hazard Log Database:
Generating Reports
Developing Queries
Data Entry
DataReviews of hazards and mitigations
Linking Master Hazards to I2S Requirements
Linking Master Hazards to project hazards
Linking Master Control Measures to project control measures
Facilitate database installations/updates
Consultant shall provide administrative support to the VSI group.
Prepare and maintain VSI files on Sharepoint, and hard-copy,
Schedule System Safety Working Group and staff meetings using Microsoft Outlook, Coordinate VSI submittals, including utilizing Internet Based Project Management software
Develop and coordinate response for various contractor requests and reports.
Maintain filing system and document control for the System Safety Certification Board (SSCB) electronically on the NYCT-VSI Sharepoint site, and in the VSI hard copy files
Perform other office support tasks as assigned.
