The Branch Customer Service Clerk performs assigned customer service functions to ensure superior customer service to all external and internal customers.
- Identify customer needs, make suggestions, initiate, and follow through with appropriate action needed
- Enter customer or territory orders per established procedures
- Complete and process pickups and customer inquiries per established procedures
- Complete reports, surveys, and other special deals assigned
- Participate in company sponsored training for product knowledge
- Use proper telephone etiquette with all customers
- Back up other office support staff as needed
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
- Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, other business areas and government agencies as required.
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to read and interpret complex reports and documents and solve highly complex problems or issues from start to finish
- Demonstrated high level proficiency of oral and written communication skills
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments
- Strong understanding of internet navigation
- Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
- Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15 lbs
