The Associate Director, Global Supply Planning & Business Process must collaborate across multiple functional areas in order to successfully forecast, plan, and execute strategy in order to achieve the Akorn Corporate objectives for sales and growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Create, implement and maintain robust processes to ensure finished goods product availability consistently meets or exceeds established monthly Akorn goals to achieve proper balance between customer service goals and days on hand targets.Work with source locations to optimize inventory investments and manage the integrated supply between plants, contract manufacturers and customers, managing all trade-offs, including both production and release priorities. Primary stakeholder in the Akorn global S&OP process and serve as key driver for process improvement across all functional areas involved in the monthly business cycleEnsure adherence to a monthly S&OP process including assembly of ESOP presentation and preparation and communication of master supply plans both internally and externallyPrimary point of contact for Commercial team in order to capitalize on market opportunities and communicate all supply constraints based on latest forecasts and capacity constrained production schedulesReview factors influencing process times, batch sizes, EOQs, delivery terms, etc. and take the necessary action to address and resolveContinue to mature the Akorn S&OP process that focuses on the full planning horizon and balances supply/demand. Ensure key stakeholders are active participants and continually seek opportunities for continuous improvementResponsible for constantly reviewing and improving the established global planning processes across all source locationsCapacity schedule all Akorn manufacturing lines at SKU detailReview material such as supply chain trends, sales, forecast, on-time delivery, and develop appropriate inventory strategies to ensure smooth and consistent supply.Provide input to the global quota management process to report information with one single approach to the organizationPrimary Business system owner for Akorns ERP system for MRP related functionality and JD Edwards planning modulesRepresent Supply Chain team for all ERP related enhancementsOwner of Master Data/Material Master Data and associated processes and key stakeholder in the acceptance, development, operationalization, and adherence to Akorns Data Governance programs and Master Data policies and procedures.Ensure New Product Introduction (NPI) is managed through a standard recognized process including accountability of for what-if analysis of inventory strategies going forwardMonitor Key Performance indicators (KPI) and metrics relative to the supply base and take necessary actions to address deficiencies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors degree in Business or Technology disciplineManufacturing/Supply Chain background
